NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA
August 3rd-13th
Reported by Calvin and Stephanie Greiner

Our August prayer walk took us further south and deeper into the heat and humidity. Every day the heat index was over 100! God gave Calvin special grace as he prayer walked in the Outer Banks (Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills), transferred back onto the mainland via two ferries, into the military city of Jacksonville, NC, and on into SC. There we spent three days in the Myrtle Beach area (Cherry Grove Beach, Atlantic Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, and Garden City Beach). Calvin’s final destination was the Charleston area where he walked from North Charleston into the historic downtown district.

As he was walking, God arranged divine connections with other believers with whom he prayed along the streets and sidewalks. We (Calvin and Steph) fellowshipped at an Assembly of God church on Sunday morning in Jacksonville, NC and confirmed their growing vision for their region by giving them the North Carolina shepherd’s staff.

Despite the intense heat, Calvin felt there was a special anointing on his prayers. God showed him many scriptures on which to meditate and declare. Most of his time was spent praying “in the spirit” where his spirit prayed and the meaning bypassed his mind. This way of praying frees him from praying “sensual, selfish and stupid” prayers. Since he walked DC last October, he senses he is walking in greater authority as he intercedes for the nation. Jesus prayed and taught us how to pray and what to pray for – please see Lk. 11:1-3, John 17, Lk. 18:1-8, Mt. 9:35-38, Lk. 10:1-2, Lk. 3:21, Lk. 5:16, Lk. 23:34, Is. 53:12.

Thoughts to meditate on:

1. We are in a cleansing, purifying, refining, holy fire so God’s church will become like Jesus.
2. The wicked, unrighteous, ungodly, unrepentant, and disobedient will be judged and experience God’s Judgement (1 Pet. 3:17-19).
3. We choose to obey or disobey- we cannot blame God or the devil or anyone else for our choices (Deut. 30:19 and John 3:15-21).
4. Mt. 28:18-20- Jesus calls us to be disciples. Being a disciple means we follow Jesus—He is our Lord and master. In Luke 14 Jesus tells us what it means to be His disciples. If we obey we will be set free in so many areas. Disciples of Jesus love Him more than anything or anyone. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes (Rev. 14:4).

Many people ask Calvin what he receives concerning the state of our nation…

“I believe only prayer and strict obedience with the cloak of humility and grace will save this nation. So as His children, let’s choose to pray and choose to obey. Continue in God’s word, forgive, bless and follow Jesus and He will call you His disciple (John 8:31-32).”

A special thank you to all our friends and partners who are praying for this nation which is still One Nation Under God. Believe it, say it, pray it. Let’s be kingdom-builders and nation-changers (Mt. 6:9-13; Heb. 11:1-2, 33-40; Rev. 11:15, 12:10-11).
