VIRGINIA
July 6th-16th
Reported by Calvin

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ. As I have been prayer walking the East Coast of the US this year, God has given me many thoughts, insights and revelations. I pray you will be blessed and challenged by the following report on the East Coast City Prayer Walk.

From July 6 through July 16 I had the privilege to walk the great state of Virginia with concentrated times of prayer in Washington DC, Alexandria, Mt. Vernon, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Newport News. In Virginia Beach I was well received at CBN where I connected with the Chaplain, Pastor Joel. He gave me a VIP tour while he explained the history and worldwide impact of CBN. I was invited to be part of the audience for a taping of the 700 Club program. After the show, I was honored to present the Virginia shepherd’s staff to the founder of CBN, Dr. Pat Robertson. They invited me to share at their chapel service which is held daily in the CBN Studio Headquarters building.

As I look back over the past 4 months, I believe God has given me some specific revelation and understanding that we are in the last days and God is pouring out his Spirit on all mankind. Many are being saved and are following Jesus as His disciples. Acts 2 declares certain things that will happen in the last days. Luke 4:14-22 and Acts 10:38 declare why Jesus was anointed and that we should continue His ministry while we are here on the earth.

Hebrews 9:26-28 declares His suffering, sacrifice, and the salvation of Jesus the Christ in His first coming and boldly says He will appear the second time to rule and reign and will receive unto Himself a glorious church. At this time God is bringing a great purifying and cleansing to His church. God’s anointing is upon us to pray, preach, prophesy, heal and deliver souls from the devil, darkness, death, destruction, depression, deception and defeat (Acts 10:38). We are in a great awakening and also in an hour of great deception. God always has a remnant in this earth and always has witnesses that will love and obey him. We, as His disciples, are salt and light in this world (Mt. 5:13-16). Jesus said,  “my food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work” (John 4:34). Eph. 1:10 declares what will happen in the fullness or climax of times- He will unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth (Revised Standard Version).

God is seeking to save lost souls and is seeking to find faith and love in our hearts. He is cleansing us from the worldly lusts and the pleasures of this life. He is calling us to Himself and desires our total commitment to relationship and intimacy with Him and the gospel of His Son. Eph. 5:25-27 records Christ’s love for His bride, the church, and His desire to sanctify, cleanse and wash us by the Word of God. The blood of Jesus speaks mercy. God’s grace is abundant. His love never fails. His is with us, for us and in us. As I pray while prayer walking, I remember that one of the first things Jesus said is, “the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is near; repent and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). The East Coast City prayer walk is embracing, invoking, proclaiming and praying these scriptures.

As I have walked through the streets of many cities over the past four months, I recognize that Jesus loves the homeless, the hurting and the down trodden in our society (Mt. 11: 19). Without your prayers and support I would not have this opportunity to reach those who are without hope. As we (Calvin and Steph) travel to North and South Carolina August 3-13, would you partner with us in prayer and believe God for divine connections and wisdom as we continue in intercession for our nation? We would love to hear from you!
